III/379 37 Blansko - bridging

The construction solves a complex replacement of the existing railway crossing forming the only transport link between the left and right bank of the Svitava River in Blansko, by means of a new construction of a bridge between the cycle path, the river and the railway line, including the related transport and technical infrastructure. The out-of-level crossing of the river and the railway eliminates the long-standing problem of low traffic capacity of the level crossing of the busy railway.

The structure is dominated by a 155.4 m long bridge with a main bridge span consisting of a 77.6 m long steel arch with a height of 12.0 m and connecting spans consisting of a prestressed concrete slab. The steel arch was assembled on the right bank on an outrigger track and extended as a unit to the left bank.
