At the end of summer 2026, the steel structure of the new pedestrian and cyclist bridge was installed on site. One of the most powerful mobile cranes in the Czech Republic—the Liebherr LG 1550—was deployed for its installation. The entire steel structure, weighing approximately 75 tons (including formwork), was assembled on the ground and then lifted directly into its final position in a single hoist.
The new footbridge connects both banks of the Svratka River and will significantly shorten the commute for local residents from the right-bank section of the city.

However, a project of this scale is far from just being about mechanical power. An operation like this requires precise planning, detailed structural calculations, accurate production documentation, and seamless coordination among all teams involved.
